Rain flap and wide opening on main, second and third compartments for quick access to laptop or textbooks and protected from elements. I searched for laptop backpack and found this one. I bought it solely based on the review I read which should be right before mine. She described it so well, and it met all of my requirements. I received the order right on time, and just opened it. The zippers are easy to find without being able to see, and I really like that there is material covering the zippers. It not only will protect the zipper from rain, but it also will make it harder for thiefs to open the zippers without my feeling it. The best part of it all is, I am taking braille class, and my binder holding my lessons is 11x11 inches. I was worried it wouldn't fit, since I didn't pay attention to dimensions. It fits perfectly. After receiving this I immediately ordered another one for my husband to use. There are several outside pockets with nice little organizer touches other than just the usual pen holder that is too large to actually hold a pen! Examples: the smallest outer pocket at the front on the bottom has a large zippered net bag. The largest of the outer four pockets has pen holders and card holders that are not so deep so that you can't see what's in them. There are two separate large inner parts to the inside of the bag. The one for the laptop has a padded, removable inner laptop bag and stretchy bands that clip together to give it added stability. The outside of the back pack has a comfort pad to protect your back.
